Description

The impact mill with integrated classifier is the main element of any micronizing facility that requires high efficiency and quality.

Inside it has a grinding disk to micronize the particles and a classifier blade disk with adjustable speed that allows to determine the granulometric quality that you want at the exit. This flexibility and its energy efficiency in the reduction of particles makes it an ideal type of mill to reach granulometry of up to 10 μm.

Thanks to its combined operation with a large air flow it is possible to process products sensitive to heat, achieving a relatively low thermal jump.

Operating principle

Feeding

The MS type mill is a micronizer mill that works in combination with a large air flow. The raw material is dosed by the intake of product by alveolar valve or endless thread. The entrainment effect of the circulating air inside the machine transports it to the interior of the grinding chamber.

Grinding

In the grinding chamber, the product is impact milled between the grinding elements and the inner coating surface of the machine, reducing the raw material into particles of different sizes.

Classification

The upward airflow transports all the particles towards the innermost part of the mill, the classifying chamber. At this point, the finer and more suitable particles according to the rotational speed of the classifier disc pass through it and are transported by the air stream to the outside through the product outlet.

Return

The thicker and unapproved particles are ejected from the bottom and returned to the grinding chamber again, where the process starts again until all the particles have the desired size.
